The Shower of Hope
2010 Campaign
February 26th—April 24th
I would like to thank all our Friendship Tree members and partner businesses, churches and organization for your participation in the 2nd Annual Shower of Hope community wide baby shower. The 2010 Shower of Hope was a huge success. This years campaign raised $32,200 worth of in kind and monetary donations to benefit eight agencies serving mothers and babies.
The Friendship Tree organized the Shower of Hope in response to an increased need in our community. Much of the need comes from parents who are trying to cope with being a teenager, finishing school, finding a job and daycare, or living at the poverty level. Our organization wants to show these families support by “Showering” the tiniest members of our community with “Hope.” The Friendship Tree would like to help give each baby a strong and loving start in this world and reduce parental stresses, thereby lessening the risk of child abuse or neglect.
