Sorting and Packing at Warehouse

Every Wednesday between 1 - 4 pm and the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9 - 11 am we need volunteers to help sort and pack donations for clients.  Our warehouse is located at 197 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton.  We share the loading dock with Rite-Aid on the side of the building.  Our door is the one on the right.

Trinity Bag Lunches Project

The Friendship Tree is partnering with Trinity Memorial Church in Binghamton to prepare bag lunches that will be distributed to those in need in our community.  This opportunity will require several volunteers.  One way to volunteer is to donate food items for the bag lunches.  The items we need for the lunches are fruit (such as apples, oranges or bananas.) and sweet treats such as cookies or a muffin, (homemade or store bought and packaged in baggies). Volunteers will also be needed to assemble the bag lunches on the fourth Saturday of each month at 9:15 a.m.  Our program will begin on January 28th and continue every month thereafter.  If you would like to be involved in this program, please e-mail trudy.friendshiptree@yahoo.com  and you will recieve an invitation to sign up at volunteerspot.org. 

Another opportunity is to help prepare bag lunches and serve a hot lunch meal prepared at Trinity Church on the 3rd Sunday of every other month.  This program will begin February 19, 2012.
